■SAFARI DAY 2:
ISLAND-HOPPING
My guide, Giordano whisks me away for a spot of
island-hopping on a hired speed boat, which costs THB
5,000 (SGD207) a day.
Island-hopping in the Andaman Sea is must - each island
offers a different experience. ( but the cheaper long
tail costs THB 1,800 a day ! )
■ Islands in the Sea
Our white commode stops at Tup Island, an island that is
joined to another when the tide is low. Another island -
named Chicken Island - features limestone formations
that more likely resembles the silhouette of a
brontosaurus, but hey, who am I to argue? At Koh Poda or
Four Islands, make sure your guide does not throw bread
at you while you are in the water because hundreds of
tiny fish will swarm and cause a terrible tickling
sensation. My guide did just that to me, so I push him
into the water
